Preparation

- To be on the safe side, duplicate your tubes, mask and image in your Psp :
- Window / Duplicate
- Close the originals and work with the copies !

- Place the file "fairymist_willeke.PspSelection" in the selection folder of your Psp files.

- Double click on the font "Al Charisma "( outside your Psp !) and minimize it.

Tutorial realized with PSP XIII

Step 1 : The background of the tag

- If you have decided to use my colours, here is what you can do :

-Open the colour palette "Fairymist_Palette_Willeke", in your Psp and using your dropper tool, pick out my colours to set your Material palette ( left click for your foreground / right click for your background )

1- Open a new transparent image of 850 by 700 pixels. ( NEW SIZE)

2 - Set your Material palette as below with two coulours out of your main tube :

Choose two colours which are really contrasted !!

My choice : Foreground : A very light colour : f4ecf7

Background : A dark colour 35372a

   

3 - Flood fill your transparent image with your dark background colour.

4- Add a new raster layer.

Flood fill your new transparent layer with your light foreground colour.

5- Layers / New mask layer / from image / choose "Jillmask205.jpg" as below :

- Adjust / Sharpness / Sharpen more.
- Layers / Merge Group.

- I have left that layer on the Normal mode. It is up to you to see if you wish to change mode and opacity to get a better result !

6- Layers / Merge all ( Flatten ).

7- Effects / plugins / FM tile tools / Blend emboss default.

8- Selections / Load a selection / from disk / Choose "fairymist_willeke.PspSelection" as below :

8- Selections / Convert to a raster layer .

- Select none.

10- Effects / Plugins / AP01 (Innovations) / Lines silverlining as below :

According to your own colours, you may have to choose another effect than Light !

11- Effects / Plugins / Toadies / What are you  as below :

12- Effects / 3d effects / drop shadow as below :

I have set the mode of that layer on to Difference. See which mode suits your colours better. The mode Luminance Legacy may suits many colours !

Step 2 : The veil

1- Set your Material palette, as below, using a very light colour matching your main tube, in your foreground :

My choice : colour f2cee4

2 - Add a new raster layer.

3- Flood fill your new image with your new foreground colour.

4- Layers / New mask layer / from image / choose "Narah_mask_Abstract134.jpg" as below :

- Adjust / Sharpness / Sharpen more.
- Layers / Merge Group.

5- Effects / image effects  / Offset as below :

6- I have set the mode of that layer on to Soft light and I have duplicated that layer . It is up to you to see which mode and opacity are best with your colours.

Step 3: The elements of decoration

1- Open the tube "stitch" in your Psp and copy it.

2- Paste as a new layer on to your tag. Leave that tube where it is !

3- Effects / image effects  / Offset as below :

4- Effects / 3d effects/ drop shadow of your choice / 1, 1, 70, 1, black for me.

5- You may colorize that tube so that it matches your colours or set the mode to luminance legacy but your drop shadow won't show then.
I have lowered the opacity of that layer to 75. It is up to you.

6- Open the tube "text_made_with_love.pspimage" or a tube which goes with your main tube, in your Psp and copy it.

7- Paste as a new layer on to your tag.

- Place to your liking.

8- Activate your pen tool ( letter V) and set it as below :

9- Set your Material palette as below with a colour of your choice in your foreground :

My choice : colour 591f2b

10 - Add a new raster layer.

11- Place the tip of your pen in the bottom left hand side corner of your tag and do a left click.
- Press the shift key of your keyboard and keep pressed as your click in the upper part of your tag as shown below :

- Apply by clicking on the green button
- Layers / convert to raster layer.

12- Activate now the layer which is underneath
Draw a second diagonale line (different length from the previous one )
- Apply by clicking on the green button
- Layers / convert to raster layer.

13- Repeat step 12

You now have 3 diagonal lines coming from the bottom left hand side corner of your tag, as below :

Merge these 3 layers so they all are on one single layer.

I have set the mode of that layer to Hard light and lowered its opacity to 75. It is up to you to decide what you prefer !

Step 4 : The main tube

1- Open the tube "WS1-WO_Sybille_Art-Woman150910.psp" or a tube of your choixe, in your Psp and copy it.

2- Paste that tube as a new layer on to your tag.

Place that tube to your liking or as on my tag.

3- Effects / 3d effects / drop shadow of your choice / 4, 4, 60, 20, black for me .

Step 5 : The title

1- Set your Material palette as below : In your background, the light colour chosen at point 2 of step 1 ( colour f4ecf7 for me ):

1- Activate your text tool , set as below :

If you use another font , you may have to use a different size !

2- Write your title ( Willeke for me ) and apply .

Layers / convert to a raster layer.

3- Effects / 3d effects / drop shadow as below :

Use the same colour as for your diagonal lines !

4- Effects / 3d effects / drop shadow of your choice / 4, 4, 60, 20, black, for me.

5- Place to your liking or as on my tag.

6- Open the tube "deco.pspimage" or a decorative tube of your choice, in your Psp and copy it.

7- Paste that tube as a new layer on to your tag.

Place that tube to your liking or as on my tag.

Layers / arrange / move down ( so the decorative tube is underneath the title )

8- Add your signature.

Step 6 : The borders

1- Make sure everything is at the right place !

2 - Image / add some symmetrical borders of 1 or 2 pixels with a colour of your choice ( 591f2b for me )

3 - Image / add some symmetrical borders of 25 pixels with a colour of your choice ( f4ecf7 for me )

4 - Image / add some symmetrical borders of 1 or 2 pixels with a colour of your choice ( 591f2b for me )

5- Save your work as a jpeg file and resize it if necessary
